Hello!

My name is Violeta Yammine and I am an Internal Medicine Trainee at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust in the United Kingdom. I completed my Foundation Years in Oxford as well.

Alongside my job as a doctor, I am completing an MSc in Cardiology and I enjoy organizing and delivering teaching for Medical Students and junior doctors.

 

I was born and raised in Venezuela. I then went to the American University of Beirut in Lebanon to pursue my undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. In 2016 I started Medical School in Cyprus, at St. George's University of London (programme delivered at the University of Nicosia) and graduated with Distinction and Merit in 2020.

I created this website as a way to compile all the information I have learnt and applied throughout my years as a medical student for fellow students to be able to refer to. I specifically want to talk about how to apply for postgraduate positions in the USA and the UK as an international medical graduate.
